Companies drop leads because they didn’t seem interested at that time or at the first point of contact. This is to save money, time, and effort for the company and to focus more on the leads that have a higher chance of being qualified leads. Take for a example a lead that after contacting them through the telephone says that they are uninterested of your company’s products and services at this time as they have a previous contract from another company that would run for the next three months. Even though the words ‘for the next three moths’ have been stated, there might be a chance that this lead will soon be forgotten even after their previous contract has already expired.
