You’ve spent a boatload of money getting customers and clients… You’ve spent a lot of time networking, speaking, creating Joint Venture partnerships… all to get new business and it’s paid off! So now you’ve gotten your customers, how do you make sure you keep them?

Here’s what most businesses do. They put an advertisement in the paper or on the radio or TV stations and they do either one of 2 things. (1) They tell everyone how great they are and how long they’ve been in business, or… (2) They tell everyone what they sell and how YOU can find them to give them your hard-earned money.

Many small business owners think they are too small to have a website or that they do not offer a product or service that can be sold online. In either case, they think wrong.

When I was an employee I used to LOVE the Public Holidays when they came around. Rest, relaxation, beach fun, sleep, do nothing… aaahhhh! However when I first became a business owner, holidays were stressful for me and became a time to either catch up with client work or a time when I didn’t earn any money!

When you are working in a traditional work setting, relationship building – whether with your customers or team mates – is easy. You can attend meetings, go out for lunch, travel to conferences together, etc. When you work remotely, however, you are often working entirely on your own in your home or an office, and sometimes the only relationships you build are via email.
