If they changed their plan with the better product scoring ten points, they would have lowered their overall score by lowering their profit margin and market share. Their business plan would actually now be inferior. The business plan that enabled them to effectively reach their goal was the better one, and if it was the most effective possible then it would be considered “perfect.” The lesson to learn here is to plan, and accept the reality of what is best for you to reach your business and financial goals. You may want perfection in your product. But the important question here is, “what do your customers want?” Do you want to meet their needs as perfectly as possible, or just your needs?
