A: The truth is, in 2012, there has never been more importance placed on the idea of having an “authority” site if you want to get lots of love (and traffic) from the search engines. And while this has been a pretty hot topic for the last 5 years or so, there has always been a fairly nebulous set of rules for what exactly was considered an “authority site” in the eyes of those that mattered most – the search engines.
