The ”solution” for these chronically unemployed, according to the Platform to Employment, is to help them regain their confidence. The program is a partnership between the publicly run program and the private sector. The publicly run program offers 5 weeks of preparation, where the skills of the potential employee are evaluated; the person is then coached on the many aspects of preparing to go back into the work force.
