For The Work at Home Mom - What You MUST Know to be Successful?

I am a work at home mom, mother of two young girls, ages 1 and 3. I always knew I wanted to be home with my children, to be a work at home mom. When my first daughter was born I had a full time job, and spent countless hours trying to figure out how to be a work at home mom, to stay home with her. Unfortunately, at that time, I could not figure out how to make it work financially, and I was forced to return to work, though thankfully, only part time.

Money became even tighter after the birth of my second daughter, and I was forced to change to a full time schedule. Oh how I dreamed of being a work at home mom. The few months of 40 hour a week employee and full time mother were very stressful. My children, who were in daycare full time, were constantly sick, in fact, our whole house was sick a whole lot last winter. That meant I missed a lot of time at work, and I knew my co-workers were thinking I was just slacking off, and that made me feel terrible. In fact, it got to the point where we couldn't even afford to keep both girls in daycare full time on our own, and my mother had to pay for half of their tuition! God bless her! My house was a mess, we were constantly stressed, something had to give.

We finally realized how ridiculous the whole scenario was. No one was happy. I realized I had no choice but to become a work at home mom.

I was happy, don't get me wrong. I have always wanted to be a work at home mom, I just never had any idea how to achieve my goal. And not knowing where the money was going to come from at first, was very stressful. The fun of being a work at home mom was just beginning.

I started doing a lot of research online for work at home moms home based businesses and spoke with other work at home moms to get some ideas. I decided the best approach for me was to try several different businesses which were all ideal for work at home moms and see which one worked best for me. I bought about a dozen e-books on various get rich quick and work at home mom opportunities and I would like to share with you those which have produced income for me. Let me also note that the e-books and websites that I wasted my money on are intentionally not mentioned here!

The first thing I went for, perfectly suited to a work at home mom, and was already familiar to me, was selling products on Ebay. The author of the e-book claims she made up to $11,212 in one month on Ebay and she will show you how. Well I never expected to earn quite that much money, and good thing, because I didn't. But I did earn nearly $600 the first month, which I was very happy with. I expect that number to nearly double next month, now that I have the hang of things. Highly recommended for a work at home mom.

The next thing I did as a work at home mom was try out a get paid to shop and eat program, another concept ideal for a work at home mom. This site promises $10 to $50 an hour to shop at your favorite stores and eat at your favorite restaurants. This is a mystery shopper program, where you are given specific assignments which require you to visit a local shopping establishment and purchase a certain number of things and carry out certain tasks, report back to them, and they not only pay you to do it, but you get to keep the things you buy!. Not a bad way to spend your time as a work at home mom! This was a great opportunity for a work at home mom, I had so much fun and made some money. How often does that happen?

Whether or not you've ever heard of affiliate marketing, you do need to get this book. If for no other reason, just so you are aware these kinds of opportunities are available to work at home moms. The author is a work at home mom, and the sky really is the limit with the income potential. It is perfectly suited to the work at home mom.

I used a combination of these three methods to eventually achieve a steady income of $2,500 a month as a work at home mom, and I know I can make more as I learn from experience in my new career as a work at home mom.
