As an administrative assistant, I thought the option of a flex schedule was out of the question. However, when I worked up the courage to ask the question, I found that our firm offered the option of three-quarter time as a perk to all staff. It has been an adjustment, but being able to send my kids off on the bus, get my littlest to day care, then be there when the kids get off the bus at the end if the day has been the best reward.

I love the company I work for! After having my third child and struggling for a year being back to work full-time, my company approved me for mobility and allows me to work from home two to three days a week. This allows me to see my children in the morning when they wake up and put my 5-year-old twins on the bus a few days a week! There is no greater joy then seeing them wave goodbye from the bus window, and I would never have has the ability to see that with a two-hour, round-trip commute into the office!
