Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg’s bestselling book, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead, has created a very welcome and active discussion around women in the workplace. Her advice, in summary, is to take risks and act more confidently, be yourself and share equally in home responsibilities with your partner. But the book fails to address the amount of time professionals need to put into their careers in order to advance and remain competitive in the workplace.
